Moderation Policy

Reviewstee is built on one principle: honest reviews from real traders. This page explains exactly how we moderate content, what we allow, and what gets removed — and why.

Why Moderation Matters

The value of Reviewstee depends entirely on the authenticity of its reviews. Fake reviews — whether paid promotions disguised as user opinions or coordinated attacks meant to damage a competitor’s reputation — harm every trader who relies on this platform to make real financial decisions.

Our moderation process exists to protect that trust. Every review on Reviewstee is subject to the same rules, regardless of which exchange it concerns — whether that’s BitMEX, Bybit, OKX, HTX, or MEXC.

What We Accept

We publish reviews that are:

  • Written by a real individual based on personal experience
  • Relevant to the exchange being reviewed (fees, withdrawals, support, security, etc.)
  • Respectful in tone — criticism is welcome, harassment is not
  • Free of personal data belonging to third parties
  • Written in good faith

We do not require positive reviews. Critical and negative feedback is equally valid and equally protected. Exchanges cannot pay to remove or suppress negative reviews. This is non-negotiable.

What Gets Removed

A review will be removed if it:

  • Contains hate speech, slurs, or targeted personal attacks
  • Includes personal data (names, phone numbers, email addresses, wallet addresses)
  • Is clearly spam, a duplicate, or submitted in bulk
  • Appears to be commercially motivated (paid positive or paid negative)
  • Was submitted by someone connected to the exchange being reviewed (employee, affiliate, partner)
  • Threatens violence or encourages illegal activity
  • Has nothing to do with the exchange it was posted under

We apply these rules equally to all reviews, whether they are one star or five stars.

How We Detect Fake Reviews

Our moderation combines automated filtering and manual review:

Automated checks:

  • IP and device fingerprinting to detect coordinated submissions
  • Linguistic pattern analysis to flag templated or copy-paste content
  • Velocity checks — multiple reviews from the same source in a short window

Manual review:

  • Our moderation team reviews flagged submissions individually
  • Reviews that score high on automated risk signals are held for human inspection before publishing
  • Reports submitted by the community are reviewed within 48 hours

We cannot verify every trade or transaction on-chain, but we work hard to catch patterns that indicate inauthentic activity.

Exchange Conduct

No exchange listed on Reviewstee can:

  • Pay to have reviews removed or hidden
  • Pay to have their average rating increased
  • Request preferential treatment of any kind
  • Influence which reviews are published

If we become aware of an exchange attempting to manipulate its reviews on our platform, we reserve the right to flag the listing, publish a notice, or remove the exchange from the platform entirely.

Reporting a Review

If you see a review that you believe violates this policy, you can report it directly from the exchange page. Our moderation team will review the report within 2–3 business days.

Reporting a review that you simply disagree with — without a genuine policy violation — will not result in removal. Disagreement alone is not grounds for takedown.

Appealing a Removed Review

If your review was removed and you believe it complied with this policy, you can appeal the decision. Describe what your review said and why you believe it should be reinstated. We review all appeals fairly and respond within 2–3 business days.

To appeal, visit our FAQ page and reach out via the contact form.

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in how the platform operates. We will note the date of the last update at the bottom of this page. Continued use of Reviewstee after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

For questions about how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
